The room

This is the room people book for the second night of a storm. The gas fireplace clicks on without ceremony, ski socks dry on the hearth, and the big window frames the pine garden — which the elk treat as their breakfast room. With two queens and a bunk — a full bed below, a single up top — it sleeps five without anyone drawing straws.

Like almost every room here, it's at ground level: park, walk ten steps, you're in. There's no restaurant on site, and good food is a short walk away in town.
